Mythology: Airmed was one of the Tuatha de Danaan in the Irish mythological cycles, and was known for her prowess in healing those who fell in battle. It is said that the world's healing herbs sprouted from Airmed's tears as she wept over her fallen brother's body. She is known in Irish legend as the keeper of the mysteries of herbalism.

 

The Herbs:
PEPPERMINT (Mentha piperita) - May support gastrointestinal tract, gallbladder, bile ducts and specifically healthy bowel function. Can potentially promote digestive health and have a soothing effect on the stomach.*

CHAMOMILE (Matricaria recutita) - Potentially has a mild calming action on the digestive system. May help with acid indigestion and gas, and may also help in morning sickness and general nausea.*

LICORICE ROOT (
Glycyrrhiza glabra) - Scientific research indicates it may have soothing benefits for the stomach, digestive tract, and as an antioxidant. It may soothe the intestinal mucous membranes, reducing irritation in the stomach.*

CATNIP (Nepeta cataria) - May help soothe the stomach and help support the body in healthy digestion.*
LADY’S MANTLE (Alchemilla vulgaris) - May help settle an upset stomach.*
CALENDULA  (Calendula officinalis) - Soothing to the mucous membranes and may help calm an upset stomach, as well as tone the gastrointestinal tract.*
